How can you find out who made a Wedding gown if there are no brand name tags?
The dress is a sample dress and has a tag sewn into the side of the dress in Chinese-I think–with some numbers and the size-no maker’s name. My daughter’s friend bought it at a store closing sale for very cheap and another friend wants this exact dress! The friend didn’t ask the people at the store the designer’s name and now the store is gone. Any ideas?
If the store is gone now, the chances of that dress being from an actual designer is slim to none. Unfortunately a lot of discount dress shops make replica dresses of the popular named designers – like Demetrios or even Vera Wang – which is why there was no tag. The best you can do is go online and try to find something that resembles the replica, but you won’t be able to find anything that is exact.
