Any discount or cheaper dress stores…?
So I have been looking around online and I haven’t been able to find any sort of discount/cheaper wedding gown stores here in Canada. All the things like David’s Bridal or other retail stores are all in the states. Are there any here in Canada, specifically western Canada?

I should also mention my max limit is $1000 (preferably less) and I happen to be a plus sized woman.
My friend’s daughter was having dress trouble, and just went around from store to store. She found a privately owned wedding dress store, a sale rack, and a gorgeous ballgown that fit, it had blue crystals sewn in the shape of flowers on it. It was expensive. She got it for $50. Same story with a friend, and it was many years ago, but she found a satin gown for $50 at the general store in her small town in the midwest.
they are out there, the trunk sales, the end of the year clearance sales, the nobody bought this gown because it was so special only a few would like it, the small dress shops that have to keep the inventory moving due to lack of space. and our desire to have the latest styles helps there, too.

Oh, dear, it is hard for a larger gals to find a bargain. Call around, and some dress designers do design for us. Grab a wedding gown magazine for names.
